In this last meeting of the 12 Parts of Me, the subject we spoke about was perseverance, “Will you stay or will you go?”. When we have a goal and do what we can to achieve it, we learn to be stronger and more persistent in front of any obstacle and consequently, see it a reality instead of possibility.
What has been working the most against women has been negative thoughts about themselves, comparisons to other women, low self esteem, and other things that make them give up easily on their dreams. This is why we have to be optimistic.
Below we have a testimony of Teresa Toyonaga, a member who has been attending these meetings.
“I began attending these women meeting on the third month. I wasn’t really commited to the purpose but I participated and persevered. After some time, a desire to be better grew in me. I realized I was missing many things and that I needed to change… I had started putting i practice what I learned in these meetings. I also began doing the #godllywoodchallenge. When I started getting more involved I started getting better. I began to improve my relationship with my family, my health, and also myself both inwardly and outwardly. I also had results from the meeting mentioned above. For example at work, I was going through a difficult time and didn’t know what would happen with me but, I didn’t give up. This week, God made everything turn out right and I didn’t get in trouble. I have learned me essential things in these meeting and without them I wouldn’t have recognized my mistakes. I value and believe in myself.”
