Discovering my role

It is true that there is freedom in my hands. As a single lady I have the responsibility to choose who I honour with the freedom I have.

Yesterday’s meeting was striking when Mrs Marcia Pires spoke about a single woman’s role.

A few months ago I took a foolish decision which placed not only my future, but most crucially my salvation in danger. It was a decision that nearly brought disaster to my whole life and soul.

Yesterday I realised that I didn’t really understand my purpose in God. That is why I lowered my standards, violated my values and principles and those of God. I am thankful to God that I was able to escape the snare.

In God I deserve the best. I will use my freedom to honour my God. I will be wise and put Him first. 1 Corinthians 7:34

I will devote my singlehood to a righteous life, pleasing God and taking care of His matters. #selfhelp

I don’t need to degrade myself to accommodate and conform to the ways of the world.

That’s true. To be honest, the freedom to decide on what to do or say is in my hands. Especially me who is still single, this argues me to always make decisions under God’s will.

I should use my freedom to Glorify God. To obey at all cost no matter what. I should care for the things of God and watch and pray.
