Physical challenges are no reason for sadness!

Meet the Children at Ezibheleni!

Children at Ezibheleni Children’s Home in Thokoza warmly welcomed Godllywood ladies who often visit the centre. The Esthers group, consisting of married women, enjoyed spending time with the children as part of their social work. Seeing beyond physically disabilities, the Esthers recognised that these children will one day grow into members of society and play an important role in the future of our country.

All games and activities were prepared with a purpose in mind, not only for entertainment but also for education and to provide physical and mental exercise for the children.

For instance, on one of the days the Esthers visited the Home, they showed a movie but also explained to children the importance of learning which movies to watch and how to understand the different movie ratings (PG,PG13, 16 VL, etc…). The children were happy to learn and attentively watched the movie of the day. Some refreshments and snacks were served.

The Godllywood group does its best for these children. This kind of work has been welcomed by the Home and the children are always excited to participate.

The Esthers enjoyed spending the day with the children at the Home and it was clear that their feeling was reciprocated. The children were happy and enjoyed the new activities.

When the Esthers were asked how they felt about doing such work on a regular basis, they said it was a privilege to take part in social work.

This is a beautiful work that esthers were doing for the little ones i believe they had an amazing time.

  2. 4 de May de 2015 at 9:57

This is beautiful, often people especially children with disabilities are mistreated or not well taken care of in our communities and this makes them to feel unwanted or not worthy of happiness. The pictures show how much the children had fun and appreciated everything the Esthers did for them, and I’m sure the Esthers appreciated the smiles and laughs just as much.

Love the way you are and the way God made you because it was not by fault but by Grace and he has a reason why he made you that way and remember he will never give you a cross that is too heavy for you to carry

  49. 26 de May de 2015 at 5:47

Nice work Esthers, placing a smile on the little one’s faces surely is rewarding and fulfilling. keep up the awesome work ladies.

  50. 26 de May de 2015 at 8:59

This is good and heart warming. Most of the time disabled people are never taken into consideration. Be it at school or in the workplace. They are always placed aside as if they are nonexistent whilst they were also created from God. Its good to show them that there are people who care about them in this very hostile world that we live in. That they are not forgotten. God bless them and God bless you all.

  51. 26 de May de 2015 at 19:35

it is good to put a smile on other people and make them feel appreciated and loved…indeed a good thing to do! *smiling*

  52. 26 de May de 2015 at 21:31

From far people with disabilities are maltreated… You are very right Mrs Ester we must take care of every one and love as well as support them.

  53. 27 de May de 2015 at 6:23

I want to thank you so much group of Esther for such a big responsibility that you play in the life of the children. There are few women who would do what you do which is to love other children and give them care because other people say that they are too busy. You women have taught me not allow any physical challenges to stop me in any kind of way and that I should lend a helping hand to those who face physical challenges and try to put smiles on their face. THANK YOU BOO MAMA.

  60. 29 de May de 2015 at 17:01

There’s nothing as fulfilling as giving to others without expecting anything in return. I believe that as the Esthers gave of themselves to the children, it was as if they were helping their own children, therefore they did everything with much love.

I’m proud of the Esthers 🙂

  61. 30 de May de 2015 at 10:53
