Meet the Children at Ezibheleni!
Children at Ezibheleni Children’s Home in Thokoza warmly welcomed Godllywood ladies who often visit the centre. The Esthers group, consisting of married women, enjoyed spending time with the children as part of their social work. Seeing beyond physically disabilities, the Esthers recognised that these children will one day grow into members of society and play an important role in the future of our country.
All games and activities were prepared with a purpose in mind, not only for entertainment but also for education and to provide physical and mental exercise for the children.
For instance, on one of the days the Esthers visited the Home, they showed a movie but also explained to children the importance of learning which movies to watch and how to understand the different movie ratings (PG,PG13, 16 VL, etc…). The children were happy to learn and attentively watched the movie of the day. Some refreshments and snacks were served.
The Godllywood group does its best for these children. This kind of work has been welcomed by the Home and the children are always excited to participate.
The Esthers enjoyed spending the day with the children at the Home and it was clear that their feeling was reciprocated. The children were happy and enjoyed the new activities.
When the Esthers were asked how they felt about doing such work on a regular basis, they said it was a privilege to take part in social work.
